Since 2006 yoga has been an integral part of Laurel’s life, leading her to complete her first teacher training in 2013. Since then she has continued her education through numerous workshops and trainings including Restorative yoga, Art of Assisting, Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra, Lakshmi Voelker Chair Yoga, Mindfulness, and Reiki 1. In 2017 she completed her 300-hour teacher training with Natasha Rizopoulos at Down Under School of Yoga.
Laurel has experience in leading Vinyasa, Power, Gentle, Restorative, and Chair yoga classes to a wide range of participants. She also contributes to Easton Yoga Center’s monthly newsletter and blog with her Anatomy of a Pose column. She enjoys inspiring others to improve their wellness, remain present, and build a deeper connection to their body, mind, breath, and being. Though her classes are thoughtfully planned with a strong emphasis on alignment or a specific theme, she encourages students to be sensitive to their experience and respect what their body is telling them. As an instructor and practitioner Laurel continues to expand her knowledge through workshops, trainings, and practice.
Laurel also holds a Bachelors degree in Art & Art History. She enjoys traveling, playing/writing music and has toured nationally and internationally with her past bands.
